Looks fine but if it will not been seen then there is no harm is simplifying it matter of fact I would recommend it. A ploy saved is a poly earned.

Yeah you could save a few tris here and there by simplyfying its pretty good as it is :)

You have around 6-10(max) thousand triangles to spend, you have to figure out where you want to use them, the bottom of a truck, that will be very rarely seen by players, is one of the places you want the least detail.

I don't know, I often hide under enemy trucks when I'm sneaking through enemy lines, sometimes planting some juicy explosive surprises. And I must say, the bottoms of those trucks are very flat. (pun totally intended)

for performance purposes it has to be deprioritised, so that the main body (i.e. what 99% of players are seeing 99% of the time) can be of the highest quality possible

:D

Ok. Maybe its better to just make flat and then add curve here and there. This chassis would be realistic but its too heavy as i thought aswell. Thanks guys for the fast and helpful response. :)

There is not an "ask any question on modelling (or w/e) issues/problems" thread for a few good reasons. Mainly because people with the same question or problems can't easily find the answer of people having the same issue or problem as it would be bogged down in a massive post about many other issues, and as such, pretty much impossible to find, but on top of that, if one person asks one question, and another person asks another, the topic can easily become divided with only the last person to ask a question getting theirs answered and people seeing a new post to the topic may just think its a reply to the previous problem in there, and not bother to look, etc.

As such, when ever you have a problem, how ever small, just post a new topic for it with the [?] tag.

The first chassis was pain in the *** so i made a simple chassis for the truck. The front axel is missing coz i didnt make it before i took the picture and im a little bit hurry right now so you can imagine that there is axel with some springs and shit.

Feedback as always much appreciated. :)
