FPS and Disconnects

OK, so I get randomly disconnected, running a brand new router directly connected to my computer.Every 2-3 games I D.C., some times more sometimes less.

Fps tick drops, from 45- 50 fps down to 15-20 every3-5 seconds. I can run bf4 and plenty other games with newer engines and they run fine, no disconnect, no fps problem at all. I have tried to turn down the graphic settings and nothing happens.

I'm not that worried about the disconnects as I am the fps problem...I did a system wipe and restore to fix this, with no luck at all...i thought it might have been a virus or something I couldnt find.

Please help

Yeah I dunno what the deal with comcast is, if someone figures out the issue with the ISP & PR, they'll be a hero to many.

I am really impressed that you have FPS issues with such modern and high clocked CPU. Did you try setting PRBF2.exe running in a single core and PRLauncher.exe running on all cores except the one running PRBF2.exe?

That does not work for me with my dual core CPU, but maybe can help you.

idk how to get bf2 to run in a single core unless it is already open, and if it is open then PR crashes on start up

Check out fraps and run an FPS benchmark and take a careful look at the fps tracking, see if there are actual FPS dips or if it's a micro-stutter by your computer.

OT perhaps but you seem to have low graphics settings with a decent set up, the GTX560 Ti plus your processor should be Ok on All high?

I only ask as I was thinking about that card.

My standard FPS is 40-50, then every 3-10 seconds it dips to around 10.

I have tried everything I can think of and can't get any suggestions that work on these forums.

It's very frustrating, because I dont hear of anyone else having this problem, I system wiped the computer, the comp is well above what is needed to run this, it isnt the RAM, its not anything on the computer. I have tested everything I can think of, uninstalled and reinstalled.

rrrrraaaaawwwwwrrrrrr

Loads of returns on Google with Comcast fps or Comcast lag spikes...

Where I live I had huge issues with one ISP with ping bouncing all over the place over a 1000 sometimes, changed ISP now a stable 72.
Silly as I live on a small island and there is only one undersea internet cable which is shared. So the issues where solely from the first ISP before it left my island.

my ping is stable, and lower than most players in the server
