I know most of the time it goes up and to the side. I've had the C7 and C8 recoil downwards on me, And I wasn't even compensating. Can guns recoil downwards in this game or is that just a glitch?

That's the generally accepted chart for handguns.

The weight distributed on a normal rifle combined with the way you rest it in your shoulders while aiming will make the recoil go upwards. You would have to hold the rifle pretty weird if you wanted to go downwards.

It would also depend on the muzzle break and bolt design. You can have muzzle breaks that shoot gases upwards when fired and thus some what push the front of the weapon down. There are also a few guns (none in PR I don't think) that have bolts that travel at an angle so when it goes forward it pushes the gun down a little. It is possible to recoil downwards, but most of it would be from your grip or over compensating for the recoil like these other guys are saying.

I meant ingame. Can the guns in PR recoil solely downwards?

It happened again today.

Archer Co-op. I fired off half a magazine from the C8 and the gun settled lower than the original firing position. I tried to recreate it again and used my keyboard shortcuts to see if it was just me compensating on my mouse. Lo and Behold, it settled lower, but not as much this time.

I think I fixed it. Whoever saved the code for it mucked up the paragraphs by accident by saving it from word instead of notepad, so all other typos are fixed. I submitted it in the Community Modding section so any r-devs can implement it in the next patch.

So many codes in PR, I appreciate the level of dedication given to this amazing mod.
