Training information
The PRTA community wishes to host another training session! This session will be completly open in terms of who can attend, however there will be a password for it.
The actual training plans and schemes will remain open for everyone to see. The goal of the training is not to have you all react to unknown situations, but to learn a few valuable lessons:
  • Moving under cover
  • Coordinating with other team assets
  • Planning assaults and delegating tasks to squadmembers
The training will be on the map Kashan Desert, Standard AAS. The MEC team will work as OpFor, placed in positions around the map to give a challenging training. We need volounteers for this!

The event will take place the 3rd of August, 2014, at 1800 PRT (GMT).
Be on teamspeak 30 min before to help preparing everyone, get into the right squads and such.
TS IP: ts.prta.co

This training is not to be mistaken for a realistic approach to PR, but it is something I find useful for people in games to know. We welcome both veterans and new players, just as long as you have a good dosage of patience and understanding for the difference of skill level present on the event.

Line up
Before the training begins, everyone in the Canadian team will line up as shown here, to be given a briefing on what to expect, as well as any general rules and such. Squadleader in front, and squadmembers lined up behind him.

Phases
The training will have 3 phases, split between 2 areas of operation; the primary area of operation will be within the hesco of the bunkers. During phases, do not engage anyone outside the hesco.

The secondary Area of Operation is in South Village, its outline is more vague, but generally if an enemy can be spotted from the south village, or is part of a group about to engage the village or defend it, they may be engaged.

Phase 1
Canadian team will move from the northernmost entrance to the southernmost entrance, in pairs. 1 player is medic the other is a rifleman. This will happen in the primary area of operation.
MEC team is AR, MG3s, grenadiers and marksmen, and will spread themselves out on top of bunkers or inside bunkers.
This exercise will teach players how to use concealment and cover, as well as smoke, to cover their advance.

The phase will be rehearsed until everyone can do it.

Phase 2
Coordinated attack on a bunker with mortars and helicopters.
The MEC team sets up defense inside and outside a bunker. This will happen in the primary area of operation. The mortars will hit, and a second after the last one lands on the bunker, the helicopter will land.
This exercise will train the pilots how to coordinate with mortars, and prepare the squad for a rapid deployment, and delegate immediate objectives in an assault.

The phase will be rehearsed until everyone can do it.

Phase 3
Jets with APC support, and infantry attacks south village. The MEC will be equipped with TOW's, HAT's, AA and LAT's, as well as general infantry.
This will take place in the secondary area of operation.

The CAS and the APC's need to coordinate to take out the targets in due order to ensure maximum survivability. Planning and observation is required.

Return to Base
Once I am happy with the ending of Phase 3, I will order a stop of activities. The MEC team will switch sides to take part in the final debrief.
Each squad will be picked up by helicopter and brought back to base.

The debrief will cover special mentions, events, and bring up feedback to which we can learn from. After that you will be dismissed.

Training rules
  • No smoke grenades while waiting.
  • No shooting while waiting.
  • Follow orders.
  • Do not wander off.
  • Keep quiet and things will go smoother.
  • There will be no engagements between phases.
Please ensure you follow these rules. Anyone who does not will be first warned, then, if disobedience continues, the player will be killed, and lastly kicked.
