I am trying to download a custom map and I extracted the file through winrar to my levels folder and i have tryed multiple times and even re-downloaded it but it still will not work.

You gave us no info that would even let us guess what the problem actually is.


SO add some relevant info, and someone will try to help you out.

Well why dont you actually tell me what you want then because that's pretty much the extent of it. I downloaded the file, extracted it using winrar to my levels file and it will not work even though I know it works because I know people that have the map downloaded. Not much to tell.

Is it a custom map for PR? A vanilla map modded for PR? a custom map from another mod, which was modded for PR?

What is the map name? That would be the best bit of info to share.

Do you know how to manually edit the files required to make the map work in PR?

It is a custom map for PR, Camp butler.

Just downloaded and installed it.

Create a local match.
Select AAS game mode.
Camp Butler is listed out of alphabetical order because it's actual name is rt_vehicle_training .
So scroll down the map list until you see it between Ramiel and Saaremaa.
Add it to the rotation list and click start.

The map itself does not show up in the map list despite being in the correct folder.

I just downloaded your link, extracted the rt_vehicle_training folder into my mods\pr\levels folder, started PR, created a local server, selected AAS mode, scrolled down to the near bottom of the map list, and saw Camp Butler between Ramiel and Saaremaa.

I don't know what else to say, the map from your source just worked flawlessly for me.

You didn't mention you were trying to set up a Co-Op server.
Camp Butler is a multiplayer map. There are no bot scripts in it afaik.

When you start PR, select Deployment instead of CoOperative.
