Discuss what map you first played, what your first impressions of the game were like.

The first map i played was Yamalia, on co-op playing as Canada. The long range engagements were really fun even though i was terrible lol. Still one of my favorite maps.

I dunno, first time I played was a few years ago. The first map I played since I started playing again tho was Muttrah City 2, on Co-Op, a map already knew (the first version at least). It was nice to play it again. And btw, great job on that map Rhino, looks a lot like the real deal.

Iron Ridge. It was absolutely horrible.

Really can't remember. All I know is that I was so glad destroyed vehicles and bodies stayed so much longer than in vBF2 .

I do remember the first person I heard using voip, Hx Clavdivs, which was on Checkpoint Abadan. Good times . She said something like "there's a Vodnik over there, let's see if I can snag it" .

There were like 10 people on the server so when I said I was new, some german dude asked me to join his squad so that he could explain me few stuff about PR.
I remember I was quite shy and also terrible english speaker so I was talking through the chat only, and then he told me it was mostly impossible to play PR without using a mic.

First one was Pavlosk Bay. I was just still testing the mod and just want a small map so I can see the things that are changed in the game. I was so noob back then that I had no idea why I always get a 6,000 second spawn time. I was so used to the usual BF2 system which automatically respawns you or you can press enter to spawn at all times. Before I knew how to spawn, I always restart the round.

I remember playing US on some kind of woodland map and my squadleader asking me to grab a saw.
I was totally confused because i didnt know, that you'd be able to cut down trees. Says it all

Well, mine is a very complicated answer. First map playing PR was Mastuur city, first non bf2v map in PR I played was Oasis, first map for PR made by a DEV was Muttrah City v1.

^this. I also loved the effects that destroyed vehicles have, not to mention the change from BF2 sounds to PR sounds.

v0.1, Dragon Valley 16. It sucked since the server had friendly fire off and people where just C4ing each other and then they had no parachute for when they came back down to earth

Didn't try the mod again until v0.2 which then I think I played on Zatar Wetlands 16 first and fell in love with the gameplay

This BTW was a time before PR had any custom maps, first ones came in v0.25 which where then just vBF2 custom maps PR had got permission to use, and v0.3 where the first PR made maps got releases (Muttrah v1 and Jabal)

Played Barracuda and was excited to use the grappling hook as engineer only followed by the disappointment that it didnt work on terrain

I cannot remember my first round of PR, but the oldest memories of PR I have, are from Sunset City. I was derping around alone without a squad, and just tried to kill some people. The suppression effects and the loudness of grenades going off, making your vision blurry aswell, were a real blast to me

My first round was on Assault at Mestia.

Lots of firing going on and my total lack of situational awareness and who was friend or foe. Trying to assault any of the flags always resulted in a massacre and if you were defending you would most likely get blown to pisses by the huge amounts of grenades being thrown inside.

Fun times lol.

Qwai River.
Took this new tiny heli. Got blackscreen and died.
After figuring out how to get a pilot kit, I retried and flipped that shit thing on the side and died again.

My first was also Mashtuur in 0.25! Heaps of fun. Steel thunder was the map that really sold me on PR in like 0.32 or 0.4

My first matches were on Barracuda, Archer and Kashan I believe. Before that I played some others but I quickly left the game after joining.

Qingling Back in 0.7!

I had a blast and kept driving into trees.

I think it was Bijar Canyons or Jabal on v1.1.1.0, it was hilariously funny and I had no clue what was going on.
