Hill 488 Night Time Map

Good Afternoon,

This map stinks on my computer. I cannot see the hand in front of my face most of the time. I have all my graphics set to low and what can be turned off is off. This is the only map that I have extreme issues on.

Anyone?

I really think the vietnam maps are cool but idk about this one. I like the whole "real life" military experience is fun but this is too far. It would probably be better if they added like 5 flares per person or maybe some kind of lighting when you made a fob. I hate not seeing anything.

Only played the map once, but I remember running it smoothly in a big firefight me firing an M60 no lag.

I run the game low, but resolution at 1366 x 768.

Hill 488 doesn't really stink on my PC much. I play on lowest settings. TBH, the only thing I have an issue for this map is, that it's horrible and doesnt' feel like Project Reality.

I like night maps and I think we need more of them, specially ones without gigantic moons.

Prefer Korengal for "immersion" effect, feels more "intense" whilst playing that map. Hill is just run'n'gun black void of a map, no thanks. I'm sure we'll get some l33t inf players saying this map is da booooomb.

It's a great map, just don't stick in the villages too much, it's a killing floor.

I don't get why people don't like it besides that it dark and hard to see at certain points. The map has really intense firefights because of the tracers in the dark and that you can shoot through all the houses pretty well with your rifles. There is also the hut on the 488 hill cap that gives you ammo from the shelf that is in it.

Plus it's the ultimate nam experience to be having a firefight across a river with NVA then have a PT boat pull up and start laying down hell on the enemy. certainly in my favorites of the maps, and one of the funner nam maps in my opinion.

I haven't noticed any slow downs while playing the game, but man this map is bad. I just wanted to say nice try with the night layers, but most don't work. Especially this clusterfuck of a map, it feels like I've logged out of PR and logged into a vanilla server or something. Night maps just don't work on the engine, even Heroes and Generals managed to find a better way to do night, and it is/was a browser game....

If I am not mistaken, Hill 488 night is actually Bi Ming night and Bi Ming is like ~7 years old.
That was the first PR round I ever played (not an optimal start).
Didn't we had the vanilla nightgoogles back then?
