1004: (10060) error

Post by daddyhuff »

I have just recently download bf2/pr again after not playing it for 2 years. I got it to work and played for about 3 hours. My son wanted to play bf2 it would not play and it started Uninstalling bf2. Now, when I try to login on to PR with my online account it gives me a 1004: (10060) error. I'm using Desura to login in with. Any help will be very helpful. Thanks. "daddyhuff"

Welcome back to the fold,

For troubleshooting:
Is OFFLINE singleplayer vanilla BF2 working now?
Is OFFLINE single player PR working?

Gamespy is out of business, so there is no easy solution to play vanilla BF2 online.

ALSO, our replacement to the Gamespy Masterserver is having hiccups this week, trying to reconnect 5 to 10 times in a row might get you connected. https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f26-pr ... ofile.html This is most likely the problem.

OK,
from easy and quick options to harder and more time consuming troubleshooting options:
1. make sure PRLauncher.exe , Desura.exe, and PRBF2.exe are allowed through your antivirus. (Especially true if you have AVG antivirus) . Test.
2. check to see that your firewall is not blockign PRLauncher.exe, and PRBF2.exe . Test.

3. repair the game via Desura . Test.

If not fixed,
Uninstall PR. reinstall PR.
Test.

4. post back if you haven't got this fixed.

BF2 offline worked.
PR offline didn't work.

So I created a new account it ran some files and updated.
I'm back online playing!!
Thanks

Create new account with your offline account. And let it go through all of the loading I think that's what fixed mine.

That may not fix your problem. I'm running game with Desura.
