Error 1001/ connecting to server

Hello I have been having a problem making an online account for Project Reality on BF2 I have Installed it correctly but every time i try to make an account it says i have some sort of connection error.It used to do this also back before the latest update when i tried to log into my original online account and i have had it ever scince and never could have gotten rid of it.
