Low FPS

It's probably due to the fact my computer is terrible, but I'd still like to know whether or not I can run this game at a playable FPS (a playable FPS for me is 20 and up with no drops). I find that the low FPS is strange compared to other games I try to play. Rather than it being slow, it instead feels like I am rubber banding, along with the other people. Vehicles move regularly, unless I am in them, then it rubber bands. Other soldiers rubber band near me, but from far away they look normal. It has an occasional stutter, but it feels fluid, yet it rubber bands. Quite strange. I feel like I can run this game with playable settings, but I suppose it just might not be optimized well enough for me to handle it. What do you guys think? Here are my specs:
OS: Windows 7, 64-bit
CPU: AMD E-450 APU Dual Core 1.6 GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6320
RAM: 4 GB
Resolution (computer, not in-game): 1600x900
P.S. I don't know if this helps at all, but I am able to run BF2 at medium settings with more than 60 FPS.

Also, worth noting, I already tried the tracert to the server I play in (FCV) and it came back with great MS. So it's definitely not my ping.

PR is a killer compared to VBF, I too get 60 in VBF, but limit unplayable in PR. The regrettable gritty truth is that both your CPU and GPU aren't up to it.

Well, until I can get a new computer, I guess I'll have to play as a medic from now on.

Depending on your motherboard, case and PAY you could just change bits?
Second-hand processors are cheap and reliable check CPU list for your motherboard, graphics cards are abundant secondhand but your case or PSU may be too small.
When I changed my mobo and processer I didn't even have to call Microsoft to reactivate my OEM OS, saving the cost of a new one.
Edit: It's a portable? That's tricky....

However making a decent PR PC can be pretty cheap!

Yeah, upgrading this pc is going to be a hassle. I probably don't want to risk doing it myself and would rather have the help of a professional if I do. Either way, I think tossing this one out and getting a new one is my best bet. I was thinking of getting a Digital Storm Vanquish II. It's pretty freaking cheap for a gaming computer that runs games with great FPS.

I have the same CPU as you. I get a steady 20-25 fps (on LOW) on my good days. Rubberbanding is ALWAYS there, etc.
And yea, PR is pushed way beyond vBF2, and an old engine so it obviously won't run as well as you might run vBF2 (I run vBF2 on ultra 40 FPS, so that pretty much speaks for it self)

Your GPU probably makes all the difference between your computer and mine. Mine is just a piece of shit. I haven't had a good computer for gaming in all my life and that's mostly due to economical struggle. But, now I can save my money and get a decent gaming computer for cheap, relatively soon (couple of months).

I have a GT610 if you were wondering. It's barely any better than yours, and PR is CPU intensive anyway.

20-25? Guys how do you even manage to kill enemies with these frames?

It's not AS bad as you think with infantry (as long as it isn't a really dense city) and armor. With CAS is where it gets bad, and trans too.

FYI the feeling of rubber banding is because for some reason PR refuses to display less than 15 FPS, so if your GPU/System can't handle pushing at least 15fps, it like buffers them and then pushes them out together, giving that jerky, rubber banding feeling. I had the same thing when I was playing on my laptop. It's still possible to enjoy PR, but you have to be a bit more creative:
- Play commander on most maps, even though your FPS will be crappy you'll still be able to use the UAV
- Build lots of fobs as well, nothing like helping out the team with a couple of ninja fobs made as a commander

- Run mortar squads
- Run logistics squads (with trucks)
- Do sapper missions (take a combat engineer and mine up common enemy routes)
- I believe you can place up to 20 mines before they start cannibalizing themselves.
I'm sure you can come up with a few more
