Hello.

I ran into a problem while trying to re-install BF2/PR on my new pc. BF2 would install from the disk fine but it would not update to 1.41/1.5 for some reason. I am not getting any error message when i try to execute the installers, just the little blue busy symbol for a second or two the nothing. I have tried running them as admin, using compatibility modes but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Run vanilla BF2 , and look at the version number in the corner of the main screen, if it is 1.5XXXXX it might already be up to date.

I just ran bf2 as vanilla and got 1.0.2442.0. Now i know that i need to install 1.41 from this but whenever i do it CTDs whenever i try to launch BF2.exe

It's a 3 Gb BF2 repack with 1.41 and 1.50 patches included.
Just make sure to change the cd-key in regedit to yours BEFORE running PR (cannot stress this enough).

Senseist, your BF2 is so old you have to install the 1.22 FULL PATCH before you can install the 1.41 Full patch, then the 1.5 patch.

Okay, i have re-installed BF2 and patched it using 1.22 and then 1.41. but the 1.5.exe is refusing to launch and whenever i try to launch bf2 it CTDs after about half a second of black screen.

download the 1.5 patch from a different website and save it in a different location. More often than not it's a corrupted copy on some website server that causes this.

Got it working after downloading 1.5 from another site.
