Is the installation guide still up to date?

I got a new PC and i have to reinstall BF2 from disc for the first time since ages, and i was wondering if the
Installation guide is still valid?
i.e.
1. install BF2
2. install 1.41
3. install 1.5
4. install PR

That's how I did it just a couple weeks ago! Works great for me.

Not with me. I'm running into problems. Ive tried using Rar and 7zip and I keep getting the error "cannot open in archive"

Individual threads in the PR:BF2 support section get the attention of the tech people, who're better than the Mods and probably better than most other users at helping you guys.

Did you actually download the torrent before you tried to use RAR/7zip. The 34kb file you download directly from the downloads section is not the one you can open with RAR/7zip
That is something the instructions are unclear about.
