I couldn't find any direct download links for PR 1.2.0.0 so I uploaded it too Mega if that's alright.

I will pay full retail cost if someone will upload the file as a simple .exe. Wtf I played pr almost 10 years ago and now it's too complicated to even install. If you want exposure and positive press for the mod why the fuck make it difficult to play. Smdh

I can see why he's confused. Before the 1.0 release I had never had any experience with ISOs. The whole mounting process is a bit difficult to grasp at first and I got a few headaches trying to figure it out, but in the end its pretty simple once you get the gist of it.

Simplicity was not increased in the switch to mounting images compared with running an executable. Autopatching is fine and all, but it's not like you were downloading a new patch every day/week/month the old way.

ISOs are better suited to the relatively gargantuan proportions the mod has ballooned to though. Utility and flexability outweigh simplicity here, particularly since attracting and retaining new users is not a top priority in a mod for a nearly ten year old title that isn't for sale and doesn't have normal servers available.

my point being the mod is pretty much finished here, not too many updates. O well hopefully squad alpha/beta begins this summer.

An .iso is just another archive. You can extract it with 7zip or whatever archiving tool you prefer. Inside, you will find an executable.

We are all aware that getting a proper PR:BF2 version to work is kinda difficult these days.

Hence why we will adress things like an easier distribution and installation process in the next patch.

as far as i know...the only way to get a legit copy of bf2 is amazon. or hack it...but we're not aloud to talk about hacking bf2 here.
and if you do get it from amazon u may have to get the 1.41 and 1.5 patch depending on what version you get. when you run bf2 for the first time it will tell you...and we have very well done installation guides and people here to help you or anyone else we you need it.
