a spawnable transport plane?

if you spawned in it you would have to use a spec ops kit or maybe have a paratrooper kit on you when you spawn, dunno, small carbine and a few frags?

i would just be so realistic and cool to be able to parachute 2 swuads of people all onto the same area in a matter of a few seconds.

of course it would have no armaments or defenseive guns, maybe it could be riged to drop a hummer as well. that would bring back vehicle drops in a good realistic way.

yeh i was thinking about something like that, however i dont know if the us uses them, as far as i know only british out of the countries in the mod.

All vehicles must have up to 8 seats/emplacements no more. Therefore, unlike transport planes who can carry up to 20+, it can only carry 1 squad. My 2 cents on this

so its limited by the engine? but if you could spawn on the plane as well, you would only need to wait for one person to bail and take his place.

That way you could theorectically have the whole team bail over roughly the same arean if they all 'delay spawned'

No it's not limited by the engine i, the Desert Conflict mod is having a C-130 which will be spawnable not sure how much it can carry though.

Maybe there should be a map with the C-130 were every class has a parachute, on this map the US is a paratrooping team.

yeah this would be cool to have.
But about the hummer.. I don't think it's possible with the engine. (having a vehicle transported on another vehicle.
And jackal, I think the US air force uses the c-130 as a transport. It is also used for dropping paratroopers.

no i mean sort of like sir.mod style where you press a button and a hummer appears, only when the pilot presses the button the hummer parachutes down. giving the impression the plane dropped it.

yeah, that would probably work. And would be realistic too since I believe the c-130 is capable of stuff like this. And also, I think both the us and the brits use the c-130 so you would only need 1 model. (or 2 slightly different ones, but that too would mean less work) And then a model for the mecs too, or then just use the same model but different colour. (the c-130 is very popular, used by many countries, so the mec dudes could easily get their hands on them)

It just aint happening...maps are to small to have a Herc in em...If you want to spawn in mid air then get your SL to go heli pilot and hover over the LZ or City, spawn on him then bail.....thats what i try to do sometimes....

I have seen that work before, though it isn't easy to pull off. You have to time it right, and try to avoid landing right on top of enemies. If you do do it right, it can be devastating. 5 M4s landing right behind enemy positions...brutal.
