Mumble not starting automatically

Hi guys

I'm having a weird problem that I don't know how to solve.
Yesterday evening I had a great PR session and mumble was working fine.
In fact I never had any issues with mumble, I just installed PR and when I launched the game PR was launched automatically too.
I shut down my computer as usually.

Now today when I wanted to play and being ingame I realized that Mumble didn't launch, it wasn't even in the traybar, nor did the task manager show up "prmumble.exe".
When I located prmumble.exe and tried to manually launch it, it worked but PR didn't link to mumble. When I open the PR settings and click on "Launch mumble", the mumble client does launch.
It looks like PR doesn't even try to launch mumble anymore.

Any yes I ALWAYS launch PR under administrator.

I followed several advices found in the forums:
1) Reinstalled PR
2) Created a different user profile on the comupter and launched PR under that user
3) Set various kinds of compatibility settings for prmumble.exe (Run as administrator, use Win7, XPSP3 settings etc.).

The event viewer doesn't show something unusual too.
Is there any logging on the PR side from which I could start debugging?

What else could I do?

System: Windows 8.1 Update 1

Fixed!
After reinstalling PR it looks like Mumble is only started when being joined to the server.
Reading several forum threads it looks like mumble is being started when the game is launched, but that is not the case.
