Error 1301: Client Files Verification.

Hi!
So yesterday I decided to re-download PR after not playing it for a year or so. BF2 was already installed, so I downloaded PR 1.2 and launched the installation. It went well. But now that I try to Play from PR launcher I have strange messages and error:
Launching PR:BF2
Verifying Client Files...

After a short while:
File Verification Error.
1301: Unable to contact verification server. Please check your internet connection and try again.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall everything (BF2, PR, Patches 1.41, 1.5...) Still the same problem. I also tried to search the forum but didn't find anything relevant. (Also tried to shut down avast and windows 7 firewall.)

If anyone can help that would be great. I would really like to play this fantastic mod again!

Thanks! :D

Pretty strange because in a first place it seems to go well but when it comes to this adress:
2001:668:108:19::2e21:4470:http which is Akamai Technologies server (What is this?) It doesn't work anymore.

Hiya DuDu3,

thank you for thoroughly investigating troubleshooting options before asking for help, I appreciate it.

Looking at your log, it's possible
1. your IPv6 is not working correctly.
2. Your DNS is not working correcly.

1. We can try to isable IPv6:
http://www.thewindowsclub.com/disable-i ... boot-delay

OR we can try to reenable it correctly:
(Just follow the directions to enable IPV6 in this tutorial:
http://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-di ... y-problems

2. You could try switching to the Google DNS to test:
instructions:
https://developers.google.com/speed/pub ... docs/using

And... Akamai is a backbone data storage provider, however I'm not sure why you're getting sent to their German servers, it's possible the PR Australia server is down and we do have a backup server in Germany. I don't know if the PR German server uses Akamai, I will look into it.

YOU ROCK! :15_cheers

After I disabled IPV6 in registry and restarted, PR updated and launched!

But I still have a question: If I let IPV6 disabled will that change anything for the computer? or should I try to reenable it correclty.

Same issue for me coming up for the first time today suddenly. Changing DNS to google one fixed it. Weird.
