Hey everyone!
I am soon leaving to study abroad and I refuse to take with me any of my stationary stuff, rather sell it. So I was thinking if anyone here could give me some recommendations regarding laptops. Size is not what I worry about but the smaller the better I guess. I will probably live in a dorm.
Could anyone help me with his? I would like to be able to play PR with high fps.. thats the only request I need really. I dont know what to look for at all..
Price tag isnt too much of a worry but not too expensive though.
thanks in advance?

I recommend looking at a Dell XPS 15 or 17 depending on what you want. You can customize them too.
After that I would suggest ASUS gaming laptops.

Have you thought about a Mini ITX system? It will be much cheaper and will perform better.
You can always go ASUS/Lennovo (game specific laptops) or even Alienware.
Before people start saying that Alienware is overrated let me tell you this; if you're experiencing problems with your laptop, Dell will get it fixed within one week 99% of the time. They literaly come to your house and fix it. Just like Apple. (don't get me wrong I'm not a fanboy)
The pricetag is high though.
pcspecialist or BTO Laptops are nice sites to look at as they offer custom laptops for the lowest price.

Top of the line are the Clevo built to order notebooks,
If you're selling a decent desktop now and will have some money in your pocket, it might be an option.
Here is a pretty comprehensive list of resellers worldwide,
be aware that you'll need to find a notebook that you buy now that runs on the eletric and eltric outlets in the countries you're travelling through.
Clevo Guide v2.0 - FAQ and Reseller Info
Consider that you're travelling to experience the world, so when buying a decent notebook , probably don't want to buy one so great it makes you want to hide in a dorm room for your period of travel.

I am very happy with my MSI, but didn't people come to the conclusion it was best to have a mini laptop and a fixed in the dorm.
Even when abroad you can find a mini ITX format for your lodgings. Even a 15" is a big thing to carry about.

I recommend you not buy a laptop for gaming.

If you buy a dell, do not use their credit card to buy one.... you will regret it, not kidding.
But, I'd look into HP, Dell, even another company not that 'big' as dell or HP. I think you get good deals on good powered laptops in Q1 of the year. (Jan, Feb, March, April)
