Setting priority

so ive heard that increasing the priority of the game might help me get a few more FPS.

right now i have a solid 60 in smaller maps. but in huge maps with a lot of city and a lot of shit going on, i can drop down to 20, which to me in borderline unplayable. but when i open the task manager and try to change the priority of PRBF2.exe it says the operation could not be complete, access denied. anyone know how to work around this? or maybe have some quick fixes for a few more FPS?

i have:

AMD FX 6100 six-core processor 3.30 ghz,
6G RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6900 series

thank you.

Welcome to the Forums, Kandiell!

This helps me, but I think your rig is better than mine anyway, is to turn off dynamic lighting and dynamic shadows when you launch the game (open launcher, go to options, graphics).

This helps me quite a bit, I know that doesn't have anything to do with your priority question but there ya go :)

Welcome,
doing this manually isn't going to work properly, try this:
'[R-COM wrote:LITOralis.nMd;2042957']It doesn't work.

What does sorta work, is the bitsum processlasso "gaming mode".
https://bitsum.com/processlasso/
download either 32 or 64 bit depending if you have 32 or 64 bit OS.
install.
run.
set to run at startup.

run PR, join online server,
alt tab out
open processlasso from taskbar
right click each prlauncher.exe prbf2.exe and Prmumble.exe and select "Classify as game or multimedia process".

It automates everything you want to do in this line of thought.
