I found out that there is a reality mod for Battlefield 2 from my friend. So I were busting my *** trying to launch everything make everything work. I join in a server play it for maybe 10-15 min figuring out the controls how the voice chat works etc. So I knew this was a tactical game so I tried to stick with people in cover I had no idea what is going on I hear people talking but they didn't say nothing to me. I'm chillin with them and we get moartered or something so I thought seems like everything works it is ready to play when my friend invites me. Now I try to join what seems to be the same server and I got banned for "Team killing".

Is this common? Do new people get banned so quickly? Is the ban permanent? I'm really confused.

If you were using a pirated copy with a keygen, there is a chance that someone else used that key before on the server you tried to join and had it banned already

R.I.P guess I'm not playin then. There is no other way to get Bf2 then.

By the way is the ban permanent?

Probably if it was used by a hacker
