I've been playing Project Reality since 2007 (I think) and I fell in love with Project Reality from the first day I tried it. Back in the days I was searching for something a bit more teamwork orientated than vanilla BF2, which I had played countless of hours at the time.
I always wanted my squad to do actually teamwork with me instead of gaming with people, who would just go instant lone wolfing, and unfortunately I never felt like I had the time to join a clan. I never dreamt/hoped that it was possible to actually get the whole team to work together but PR showed me that this was actually possible.

These days I rarely have time to play PR, since it is my opinion that you need good time to be able to enjoy the gameplay of PR but I had some free time in the holidays and I was so happy that I was actually able to join a server (HOG) and instantly feeling right at home. All the teamwork and communication is still there!

This game is still highly immersive in my opinion and that is not only thanks to the awesome work of all the different devs this mod has had through the years but it is also very much thanks to the community and its understanding of what kind of game Project Reality really is.
It's not about kills, it's not about doing awesome stuff by yourself, it's not about cool graphics. - No, it's about teamwork, beacause teamwork provides the immersive atmosphere in the game that we all seek and enjoy. The devs gave the community the tools but the community's attitude towards this game is what keeps this game still going strong!- I mean, is there really a better feeling moving up to a compound with your squad under fire while the APCs are providing covering fire, while a second squad flanks the compound from another direction. That feel of successful teamwork on a public server is very unique for a FPS game and I think this community can be very proud of this.

Time to give yourself a pad on the back guys. Remember your way of playing this game is what's keeping Project Reality the fun game that we all enjoy. Let's all hope that Squad will have the same kind of community that PR is lucky to have had throughout its many years.

Happy New Year!
