Sometimes i go scout ahead or something, and if i get shot a few times so i need medical stuff soon or im gunna die, i sometimes drop my kit and put my arms up to show im unarmed so that maybe they will do what international law says they should do, capture me, administer medical halp, and put me in some POW camp. but to many damn times when i do it they just shoot me :/ WTF in real life you would get court Martial'ed for doing that.

Because there's no reason not to.

If their was a POW mechanic which expanded on the whole Civi/Dropped kit mechanic, players would have an incentive to arrest surrendering players.

Like maybe giving the arrestee; longer respawn time but no ticket loss, or giving the arrestor's team location of a fob or stuff like that.

Maybe because you cannot capture, administer medical help or put an enemy into a POW camp?

Because it's a game!

I guess it's often a thing of reacting to fast, like when i as a MEC breacher see a Marine coming around the corner, i only notice that he didn't even have a kit when he's already down
On the other hand: i don't really get why one would surrender in AAS. And for the situation you described: "A good recon sees everything, but no one sees him", so if you want to be a efficient scout, don't get shot.

Actually reminds me of the other day playing the WW2 alpha, I was playing as a BAR gunner and we were in the trenches and this german comes out of the corn field with his hands up. I just spray him down while screaming in local "the only good german is a dead german!!!"

Also you can administer medical attention to enemies using field dressings.

Surrendering is not honorable!!

If mumble was set to allow us to speak with the enemy I've no doubt that surrendering would start to be an option, with the enemies giving commands and even ask for Fob locations and such.

But this would also open possibilities to trolls so no luck there.

What if local speech volume between enemies was lowered so you'd literally have to be right next to an enemy to hear him properly.

Yea or simply add an additional mumble hotkey "general local speech" which makes your voice listenable by both teams in local. Your nickname would appear into a weird color bottom left so that people can quickly notice you.

What about the system linked below. You wouldn't have to deal with spam global chat, and you have a somewhat fun POW system?

It's a game. Not a simulation. Waste of time for such a fuckery. It usually keeps an entire squad busy with "lol funny we captured somebody"-stuff. Just shoot him, it's 2 tickets lost for the enemy team.

The question I ask is where is the rest of your squad that could patch you up?

Lol, made me kek. Not only am I fairly sure that in the heat of a battle you would also get shot most likley but that as long as you only kill 1 surrendering guy nobody would bat an eye and put you in front of a court. You would need to start a genocide before that happens. Like execute an entire plattoon that surrendered.

I usually let surrendering people have their fun.
Came across a guy with a dropped kit, dropped my own and beat him with my bare hands, nothing more satisfying.

There's no point in surrendering in PR, if you get in a situation where the enemy doesn't see you, you see them, and you know that there's no escape, just fucking shoot them, unless your internet fucks up or you have a bad aim, you should survive, and even if you happen to die, there's great chances that you'll make the enemy lose a few tickets.

that seems kinda boring >3< i want to stay in a POW camp and maybe they could add a way to escape the pow camp.
