Game won't Launch Jan 5th 2014 Please help...

Hey. I am having major trouble getting my Project reality to launch. When I click to start the game up I get a message saying "starting game" then the screen goes black and after about a second it goes back to desktop. NOTHING happens after that. No error msg no crashing just sitting on the desktop. I have no idea what else to do. I will list my system specs and trouble shooting steps that I have taken.
System Specs--
Intel Core i7-2630QM @ 2.00GHz
8.00GB RAM
Nvidia Gforce GTC 560M
Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)
(This is an ASUS gaming laptop)
Steps I have taken.
1.) re-install and run BF2 through steam. (its on the right version)
2.) download and install the latest PR torrent from the website.
3.) launch the PR menu and create a new Multi-player account.
4.) shut down all anti-virus and firewalls (just to be safe)
5.) attempt to launch game as "administrator"
6.) check file locations as well as .exe files for PR and BF2 (all seem to be correct)
I don't know what else to do. The menu launches just fine and all but when it is about to start up the game nothing happens. I have looked through the forms and tried to come up with some extra ideas but nothing is jumping out at me. This isn't the first time I have played PR on this computer but other times friends and I have all worked out issues ourselves. This time neither them nor I can get a handle on whats going on. I would REALLY appreciate ANY ideas.
