CD Key Error (2 computers, diff keys, only 1 can play)

Me and my brother both have BF2 and have installed PR with separate CD Keys. I installed the game on my laptop and used the same key by accident when I first installed. I found the regedit solution on the forums and tried it. It did not work for me and we still had the same error. Only one of us can play at a time.
I tried deleting everything and then reinstalling but this did not work either. We kept getting the same error. I then tried the regedit thing again hoping it would work this time but it did not work. I also tried the CD Key Changer that was included in BF2 but it didn't work either.
The game runs on both laptops with no problem as long as the other is not playing. Any ideas why this may be happening? Could it be that the key is not changing for me for some reason even though I completely deleted all files?
Thanks.

Got it working now.
Solution
1. Set the date forward a couple days. (I did 3 days)
2. Do everything that you have been doing for the past 3 hours that didn't work then run BF2.
3. Set the date back and run PR.
