BF2 Version v1.41 Won't Start

Hello,
I recently bought Battlefield 2 with all the expansions from a local shop in my country(In Greece, trusted shop, With the CD not the Digital Edition) and after installing it, I downloaded the version 1.41 in order to install the latest version(1.50), but unfortunately, I am unable to open the exe to update the game. The problem is that when I run the Battlefield 2 1.41 version.exe to update the game(run it as an administrator) I do not get any response even after some minutes. I downloaded the version 1.50 to test it out and I can run it as administrator properly without any errors so it is not my windows system that has the problem.(Version 64). Is there anything that you would suggest me ?
PS: I downloaded the update 1.41 from two different links in case the one was broken, but they seem to work fine for other people...Is there any possibillity to ask for someone's bf2.exe and some other minor files that are already updated ?...- And, as long as I have bought legally the game, would that be considered piracy ?
Please, a help or at least a response would be pleasing, as I spent money and time to find the game in the CD Version.(( Couldn't find it in my city due to the age of the game , so I went in a "stockroom" and bought it from there, as it had no e-shop.))
