Issues Durring Startup

I am having two issues when I start the game.
I looked around the forums and was unable to find any fixes that worked for these issues.
The first issue I have is that the game does not start at the native resolution of my monitor and causes all of my windows to be rearranged once it changes back to the proper resolution I set the game at.
The second problem I have is that the game hangs for a minute or so after launching before getting to the splash screen or main menu.
I have reinstalled my game recently due to a different issue with the game crashing.
I changed the default BF2 profile to the native resolution of my monitor.
Full screen on or off makes no difference in whether the game hangs or not.
