When You Get Wounded

Hello all,
I have been playing PR for 5 years now and I would like to share some wisdom with the newer players.
When you are in a firefight and you get wounded there are some very helpful things you can do that will not only help your squad win the fight, but also make sure you get a revive.
1. When you go down, try to tell the squad what killed you, what direction and how many enemies you think there are.
2. DO NOT keep spamming the medic on mumble. Often the medic is one of the last squad members alive and he is listening for footsteps, enemy rifle fire and simple trying not to get wounded himself. If all he hears in mumble is "Medic, get me up" "Medic get me up real quick" "Medic, i'm just to your North, get me up." Over and over again, it gets real annoying real fast. Remember you have 5 minutes before you bleed out. Give him a chance to clear the bad guys. Reviving in the middle of a firefight almost guarantees you will get revived, then get shot again (along with the medic) and then go dead dead.
3. Cover Cover Cover. Point towards where you think the enemies will come from. I know you are black and white and can barely see, but you still can see a little so cover the guy healing you.
And last
4. Keep yourself alive for 2 minutes. There is nothing more frustrating than risking you neck to revive a guy and then he charges right to the front of the fight and goes dead dead in 20 seconds.
Hope this helps.

Medic, meeeeddddiicc, mmeeeeeddiiiic? MEDIC! ...medic? Medic!?
At the same time I hate people who can't part lips.

This, a thousand times this.
I used to play medic a lot and you can tell the people who know what's up compared to the people that are going to get you killed. To summarise what Stonefly said:
1) Briefly say that you're wounded and what the threat is.
2) Look at the game time and subtract 5 minutes.
3) Keep your beak shut and trust the medic.
4) Be ready to pass intel, talk to the medic when prompted
5) When revived, follow the medic's orders and cover as best you can
6) Stay safe for 2 minutes (again using the game timer)
Quality advice Stonefly
Cheers, Murkey.

-Don't use chat to talk to other players when wounded or dead -> not wounded players can not see it.

If you are using chat and see a * next to your name you are talking to the dead.
Everyone is guilty of talking a bit too much, it is a game after all. That being said I too get frustrated at the guys on TS that can't shush for a few moments to allow the few guys that are alive to focus a little more.
Ryan flips his shit, I can't blame him when he is the last guy knowing there is an enemy squad in the immediate area and he has to hear me whining about hit reg. On the flip side if you're on the ground and there is an enemy on top of you, or you hear him patching (when you tell someone the enemy is reloading it's already to late) tell your friends. You can instantly turn the momentum of the fight back into your court by dropping the enemy medic/ar because he was fumbling around too close to a dead guy.
Remember it works both ways, so when you're clearing a house and you walk over the guys you just killed know those guys are calling you out. This really brings a nice dynamic to firefights that couldn't exist without mumble, and the ability for wounded people to talk locally. You have to stay moving fast as the exchange of intel is a keystroke away.
TLDR Intel is king, but spam wipes squads.

TBH I think most people spam calling for a medic because depending on who you play with... I've seen people with as much motivation, common sense, and short term memory as a house hold gold fish play as a medic. They literally need people to keep spamming medic at them or they wander off chasing a butterfly and shiny things.

agreed with everything yousaid.
I just hate when certain clan mates, or a person that doesn't speak the primary language of the server doesn't revive. (I think a lot of users know who the people are that don't speak the primary language.)

The * does not mean anything. When you are wounded you don't have a * and you still cannot chat with non-wounded people.

I think medics should answer if they hear someone calling out medic. Just to tell to the wounded guy that he is heard and will be revived as soon as medic can.
I bet most of the time people spam the medic shouts because they are not sure if the medics have heard them or not.

Don't bother medic. If your squad medic is not aroud it's mostly your fault.

Tell a medic to deploy smoke and take cover, for a minute for the smoke to cover the area, and then revive. Different situations call for different solutions, and smoke may be a double-edged sword: It can be a big beacon for your enemy, but if you have heavy fire, a smoke will save a life, digitally of-course

Yeah don't bother medics, unless you wan't hear something else like enemy foot steps rather than just wounded guy yelling out the medics.
