I have windows 8 but there is no mount option it just asked me what program it want me to use to open it I selected google and it cant download properly and theres a file stuck permeantly on my laptop that I cant delete as Its location cant be found can you guys please just fix the desura version as that is very broken please help me

also the desura version deletes it self you REALLY NEED TO FIX IT as I cant download mods I don't have any knowledge how to now I have to pay cash to fix it

I just wanna play the game is there anyother way to download it

everytime I click open when it starts the down load it just goes to active downloads and they all have the google logo and when I click open it opens a webpage for a sec and closes PLEASE HELP

Try any of these.

Download that, then download the pr:bf2 v1.2 torrent and launch it.

Use the torrent to download the iso file.

Use a mounting application to mount the iso.

Run the program.

Done.

You can just right-click, and extract with Winrar And then run autorun or setup.exe

If you haven't already downloaded it, here is a direct link to the ISO file.

From there you can use a mounting tool (or windows 8 has one integrated)

From there you can follow the standard BF2 -> Patch 1.41 -> Patch 1.5 -> PR installation process

I hope you don't take offense, but I can only wish you the best of luck if figuring out the installation process was too complicated for you... the actual game's learning curve is quite brutal in itself... definitely announce yourself as new to the game when you join a server, people will be less harsh on you for that. (Or they might be dicks and kick you out of the squad, just ignore those people please)

I'm sorry, I don't respond well to temper tantrums, all the info you need is already in this thread. If you can't figure it out, I hope someone a bit more compassionate than I comes along.

I'm not sure how old you are, but from this point a good skill you may want to pick up is "How to use google to figure out what you want to do"

Google this: "How to mount .iso files?"

If you cant figure that out, then I dont think you are old enough to be using the internet.
