So I am currently trying to hunt down the cause of mumble losing the link to bf2 all the time. It doesnt start right away in brief mode i can talk fine all through out it then the game starts and about 1 or 2 minutes in if not instantly I use ptt and it doesnt work everytime i push it. I check mumble and it says lost link to bf2 then gained it or something like that. it happens almost every 10 seconds once it starts. I can still talk to people but only at random times. I can also hear people regardless if its connected or disconnected. I have tried several of the fixes associated with connection to mumble and none have worked. Any ideas?

So we know what we're working with, Could you post your Specs:
PRaluncher->Support->'Copy to Clipboard' button
paste everything here.

What internet speed you have? Is it possible you're running out of bandwidth?

You can check for internet jitter, which is the variance in your ping,
Pingtest.net - The Global Broadband Quality Test
Post the results here.

  • Lower the audio input quality,
  • lower the audio output quality,
  • remove the Quality of Service feature,
  • Use Force TCP mode,
  • Find a proxy to use, add that to the proxy tab.

I have tried all of the recommended setting except the proxy one I wouldn't know how to set that up. If you could guide me I will try that.

I am playing on American servers and I am in Australia but I have never had an issue with mumble in the past.

Anyone? It's quite a pain in the *** I can't squad lead because I can't communicate properly. Even when i spot something I cant tell people straight away most of the time. It happens on all servers.

I fixed the issue, It was a problem caused by me running affinity 1 so pr would stop crashing. I have it now set to run 2 cores instead of 1. i have a 2500k if anyone else has this problem.

Can you tell me how exactly you solved this? I'm getting the same problem lately. :sad:

I did it by putting a small line of code into the target for the shortcut of PR. but there is an easier way. i got precess lasso its a free download and it allows you to set what cores you want certain programs to run using. I have it set to run 3 now instead of 4 which i found fixed my issues and also fixed the stalling i got from running 2 cores.
