Problem installing Patch 1.5

Hey y'all I just recently joined these forums and am trying to get my BF2 ready to download PR but while following each step on the installion guide, I ran into a bit of a problem. Whenever I try to start the setup for PATCH 1.50, it simply doesn't start? I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or can help?

If you haven't installed patch 1.41 then do so; it is a prerequisite of patch 1.50. If you have 1.41 installed then restart your computer and try again. The patches may take a few minutes to load for some reason so run it only once.
If that does not work, uninstall BF2 with something like revo uninstaller or iobituninstaller and start from ground zero.

Right, the 1.5 patch is HUGE, it takes quiet a while for the files to first decompress and load into memory even before it starts the installation process.
The other option is to download the 1.5 patch from a different internet source, as there is always the possibility the file was corrupted on a webserver from where you downloaded it from.
