A question about the server license. [ long post]

Before I get into the details I want talk about who I am for a minute
( beware my ego 8-) )

My name is Kadlub and I've been apart of the PR community for a good while. I started playing when I happened to Google mods for bf2 back in 2006. I then and made my way into a reality clan and played until 2010 ( blew my motherboard). Since then I haven't been able to get a computer decent enough for gameing.
Project reality really made an impression on me in my experience in gaming and now that I have a new functioning computer I am going to rejoin my favorite FPS of all time. :D

With that said I strive to own a clan server of my own one day and while I'm far from having the nessesary assets to run a server I still wish to have all of my ducks in a row and fully understand the nessesary requirements of doing such.

I went through and read the license page and read all of the legal information but it left me a little confused with how vague it was ( maybe I'm just not that bright). So my question is what are all of the requirements in a nutshell. Sorry this is so long and formatted strangely I'm doing this on my phone

  • User Licenses are for individual users, clans, and other small organizations who wish to host public and/or private (passworded) Project Reality Servers. By default, a single User License is allowed to add up to 3 game servers and 5 license moderators. These servers must be internet facing (i.e. respond to server queries), and hosted at a data-centre. We do not issue licenses for home hosted or LAN-only servers.
  • IMPORTANT: You must have a BF2 dedicated server running on the IP/port in your application.
1. have a dedicated server box.
2. install a bf2 server and make it run correctly.
3. apply for license with the information of that bf2 server (ip,...)
4. get approved and get pr server files and install pr server.
5. run server.
6. uphold to the license agreement.

Ok I think I get it now. I was under the impression that your server needed to follow specific guidelines. I.e no banning anyone for no reason or something like that ( not that I intend on something like that). Thanks for clearing that up
