So as the title here it is another CD KEY related problem.

Synthoms:

• Can't join in all servers
• Some server say "invalid cd-key" or that i got banned (just played in all of these for months)
• After CDKEY change CD KEY HASH in PR Launcher don't change!

Cure tried:

• CD KEY CHANGE (to an original one) using regedit
• As above using BF2 integrated tool
• As above using PR dev utility to delete CD Key
• Tried to type the CD key with both comma and not
• Starting battlefield 2 before starting PR, after every cd key change
• Reinstalling PR after deleting the Key with the PR dev utility

So basically I tried everything and I don't want to reinstall all the operating system for a simple hash that doesn't update to the new CD key!!!!

PS: i used a random cd key at first because i was to lazy to pick up from the closet my physical BF2 copy to manually type in the Key, but is absurd that now that I'm trying to use the legit one I'm having all these problems!!!!<

I unistalled both BF2 and PR, deleting also all the registry key and folders referring to them, this seems that solved the problem.... for now..

and here we go again, after some day the problem is again showing... with an original CD-key... this is just idiotic.. I even played in that server two days ago...

Ok I found a way to change the PR CD Key hash without reinstalling the operating system, it even permit me to get over cd key ban, but I will not post here exactly how I solved the problem because it can be useful to cheaters (so the dumbass kiddo people) to skip machine bans and it is not my intention.

The thread can be considered closed!

You are going to run into the same problems until you put in your non-pirated key. I don't know why you didn't just do this in the first place. It will save you a LOT of headaches.

He's going to encounter same problems with original key in fact, because of the lazy CD-key change system.

Didin't think about the need of an original cd key, especially considering that the game isnt sold anymore. By the way other than lazy at the time I was also in a hurry because I switched to Win 8.1 and I was restoring all my software and files and, at the same time, I wanted to be ready to play PR. I think we all agree that PR devs need to implement some new key system for newcomers without a legit cd-key (maybe a web based key generator binded to PR profiles?), considering that now BF2 isn't sold anymore.

Yeah probably, right know the cd key error vanished (of course i changed to my original bf2 key) but the server that ban me is still a problem because admins don't want to listen to me.
