Model Making Help

Hello,

I don't know how many of my fellow BF2 :P R players share my hobby of model making, but I'm sure there are atleast a handful. I would just like to know how one could access some of the texture maps for the assets in game? for example the supply crates? so someone could print out a scale version of it and add it to a display.

All I know is I have a Merkava IV that wants to be at a repair/rearm point.

Cheers,

R.W.D.

By model making, you mean plastic model making right? Like Tamiya and stuff?

The textures are accessible to anyone with pr installed. You will need the .DDS plugin for photoshop to open them though. Or windows DDS viewer, although im not sure it you can print from it.

See I've tried looking for what I want, the supply crates, and I can't find them as .dds in the game files. And though there are great tutorials for what to do with a texture you want to make or edit, I haven't found much in the way of help for finding what you want.

Most of the supply crate textures are in content/objects_common_client.zip/common/supply/pr_supply_crate/textures, though I don't know how useful they'll be to you given how they're laid out.

Ahh, I see. So basically, i would need a program that could render the supply crate myself... hmm.
