Today I played, and there seemed to be more asshats than usual. People moving your humvee while you are obviously firing.. one guy moved it...after I had set up perfectly behind a dumpster.. he jumped in, ruined my shot, drove 20 feet, ran someone over (TK), jumped out, and left me out in the open... so I jumped out and was promptly shot. Medics that wouldn't revive. Medics that wouldnt' heal. Squad members that wouldn't spawn oN SL... Sheesh.. I couldn't get an enjoyable game going with ZERO teamwork.
/end bitching
//meant to post this in general discussion.. whoopsie

Medics are the worst, a lot seem to not bother doing their job.

the only thing i noticed is, that many new players dont say "thanks" if you revive them and, what really bugs me, that some don´t even excuse when they tk you - that´s what´s really getting on my nerves - with punishing enabled i usually waited for about 30 secs, if the tker said sorry i never minded and forgave him - but if no sorry would come and the tk was nearly-intentional/too dumb is punished. yet, now i always say "at least say sorry for the tk" and depending on how i was tked/the behaviour of the tker there is the slightly upgraded thing (shift-capital letters) or the fully upgraded solution (use of swear words - telling the tker...my "opinion"..)

'[R-MOD wrote:Dylan']Uhm, what happened?
I accidentally posted this in suggestions, and like 2 seconds later it was moved to general.
Dunkellic, I think that many times people don't even realize they TKed. That's probably part of why they don't say sorry.. but yeah, there's asshats out there that don't really care if they ruin your fun, etc.... Today was a very bad day for me. I took part of the day off, and I was looking forward to playing some PR... I got home, and nothing would go right for me. No teamwork.. TKs.. no one reviving.. medics running right over top of me...etc.. just a not a banner day for finding cool people to game with.
i played with the DVB clan towards the end of the day, and we were kicking butt as US, but on MEC... no medics... medics not doing their job.. and too many TKs...
Topped the night off with getting run over by a friendly tank while I was just about to knife 2 USMC that didn't see me.

this kinda thing is really annoying, take for example, on sunset city, defending lower city as PLA, after parking a humvee to cover the (east i think) side,(the open planes with a few trees etc. and a downed chopper) and waiting a minute or so, finally a few troops come into view. i wait a few seconds for them to be a little further out of cover and just as i am about to open fire, for easy elemination of what i now see is 5 people, someone hops in my vehicle, drives it about, 20 metres (not too far to walk imo) to the bridge, jumps out of it, leaving me just short of the bridge in the open already taking heaps of lead, while he runs to the middle of the bridge C4 in hand. he gets shot within seconds i notice, as (realising i have no hope in hell of making it back to cover driving), i hop out of the vehicle and leg it. i hear the HMMWV explode behind me as i make it to the corner of the building. i round the corner and i get a burst of type 56 in the chest from a friendly medic and die. he doesnt revive me. i see on my hud at least 2 other medics within a covered from enemy fire run. no one comes to my aid. no apology, from either "TKer" or "nick your vehicle so i can get killed closest to enemy lines under the idiotic pretence of destroying the unused anyway bridge-er"
on top of that bunnyhoppers and M4 whorers.
(love the mod, just wish the over-vanilla style players would give it a break and get a little sense)
sorry for bad english

Yesterday I had got my hands on a sniper kit and before I fired a shot a medic was taken down beside me. It was a painful decision but I swapped kits with him so I could revive. I got a thank you, 15 seconds later I get taken out standing beside him and I see him standing over me then just leaving.
You cannot tar everyone with the same brush though, I consider myself a pretty good medic and I have played a couple of games that left me gob smacked at how incredible some of the medics were and even squad members willing to stand out there and cover while you grab a downed soldier. Its just finding the right bunch of people I suppose.

I like *sarcasm* the way there are four people on a corner, a medic and a downed soldier a few yards away. The medic throws his smokes and runs out, gets shot at (maybe gets the guy and makes it back alive, maybe not), and throughout, none of the people on the corner have moved an inch, just watched, not thrown a smoke to help the cover, not moved forwards, nor provided cover. Pathetic.

I work in exactly the same way. However, i am mroe leanient to Punishing Snipers because they, of all people, would have the best view of who you are.
AMERICAN UNIFORM= TAN(SAND) OR GREEN(GRASS)
MEC UNIFORM= BROWN(DIRT)
CHINESE UNIFORM=DIRT WITH RED BITS
And M4 hosers because 1)they are using the M4 2) they tend to be poeple that degrade gameplay with no team work. 3) They are using the M4 only because they know its better.....Surely if you liked the game/thought you were good at the game, you would use a worse weapon, like a shotgun.

I experienced a lot of the same type stuff last night when I was playing. I had gotten shot and had been spamming I need a medic command, yet no one pays one bit of attention. I ended up chasing after a medic (after I finally found one, perhaps they need something else, because it seems very few people play this kit anymore, frag nades maybe?), continuing to spam the message and this guy just keeps on running. I finally start coughing and my screen goes blurry, so I shoot the guy in the back (yeah two wrongs don't make a right, so sue me). I take his kit, heal my self and revive him, but his buddy then proceeds to TK me even after I revived him. I was so fvcking mad I could have thrown my computer out my damn window.

i agree with you all, gameplay has been watered down.... trust me, if you want to play a good round especially right now, JOIN SERVERS WITH PEOPLE YOU KNOW AND TRUST! by just joining random servers, your gonna get a shitty game 9 times out of 10... its unforunate but true right now
as for this story:
defending lower city as PLA, after parking a humvee to cover the (east i think) side,(the open planes with a few trees etc. and a downed chopper) and waiting a minute or so, finally a few troops come into view. i wait a few seconds for them to be a little further out of cover and just as i am about to open fire, for easy elemination of what i now see is 5 people, someone hops in my vehicle, drives it about, 20 metres (not too far to walk imo) to the bridge, jumps out of it, leaving me just short of the bridge in the open already taking heaps of lead, while he runs to the middle of the bridge C4 in hand. he gets shot within seconds i notice, as (realising i have no hope in hell of making it back to cover driving), i hop out of the vehicle and leg it. i hear the HMMWV explode behind me as i make it to the corner of the building. i round the corner and i get a burst of type 56 in the chest from a friendly medic and die. he doesnt revive me. i see on my hud at least 2 other medics within a covered from enemy fire run. no one comes to my aid. no apology, from either "TKer" or "nick your vehicle so i can get killed closest to enemy lines under the idiotic pretence of destroying the unused anyway bridge-er"
Same thing has happened to me acouple times, except, instead of the humvee blowing up, the enemy takes the humvee gun, turns it on friendly troops, killls all your friendlies who are clueless, then takes your flag.
SOOO frustrating.

Ha..we need a new arcade style mod to be released to attract the jackasses away from PR. Oh and have you guys noticed most of that impersonal type rudeness happening on a certain server running BF2 style conquest mode?

It was fun.

We did actually do a decent job defending considering how badly we were outnumbered.

Somewhat new to PR in a sense but have played for awhile, can't say i'm a veteran though... I too notice the "arcade" style that's been going around, particularly from the vBF2 servers to the PR servers. Honestly speaking from experience, I always play Medic. Mostly because I'm such a bad shot (usually) that I need to heal myself after a firefight. I always join a squad and am on the squadleader's six all game, I revive with a passion, and when in substantial cover will pull out my med pack just to see if anyones hurt, and "top them off". I play vBF2 the same way, I'm always next to the squadleader if not in front of him. And for far too long have I laid on the battlefield, Critically wounded, yelling for someone to pick up my kit and revive me. As much as I hate the word noob, I've used it over and over in PR. I think it was the developer's intent, soley for each kit to be used accordingly, and in a squad based atmosphere (correct me if i'm wrong, please). When people run off by themselves even as a sniper in a squad or not, it pisses me off. You'll never live long, alone when even a rookie squad of 4 comes around a corner and your just standing there with your thumb up your.. well you know.
/end rant

We should all have an international time to play PR together that would be awesome

I agree about the wrong'uns. it's definitely something in the air or maybe it was full moon. I was playing IGI last night and it wasn't a very good experience at all. zero teamwork and team kills galore, we even had someone called FlightOps blowing up the helos on the carrier and Tking everyone who spawned there. nice of him.
very frustrating and the first time in a while I've just thought 'sod this' and gone and done something productive instead

i think what you have to all underastand si that humvees and the like are primarily transport vhicles, with the 50cal ontop for defense whilst moving, not to set up a temporary machine gun post.
if someone jumps in your vehicle and drives away to somewhere else with a few other guys, dont get shirty about it, they need transport and you were in it.
however, if someone jumps in, drives you around and around, then off a cliff or something like that, Its just unhelpful behaviour, and that you can moan about.
Just saying thats all.
