CAS in insurgency

Hi guys I just started to play project reality really and I LOOOVEEEE IT,  the tacticalness, teamwrokd and vehicles are THE BEST specially the A-10   :p

BUTH, I feel like CAS is being ignored in Insurgency gamemode, the cities are TO DANGEROUS  for APCs so you should give the US side an a-10, or something similar.

Now before saying "NOOB Go away!!" , here me out:

I understand the map is to small for a runway :( but we could make the plane start in the air just like BF4, a player would just approach a trailler and he would teleported to the plane were he then could shoot lazes and stuff
If it works in BF4 why would work here?

To rearm he would just eject 8-) making him appear in the trailer back to main and the plane would go rearm.

Now we can enter the city safely.

They had A-10s and Cobras in Basra in 0.5. It was pretty cray cray though.

I remember an A-10 coming overhead and killing all of us on a point then another coming over and killing the Americans. Repeat ad infinitum.

We have CAS in insurgency.

I don't know what map you played on(whether you have something is dependent on the map and its layers), but try Ramiel; generally Ramiel Insurgency has LB for CAS.

Would be nice to have a larger Afghan style Insurgency map with an Apache as CAS but without missiles. Only cannon, otherwise it would be too much rape.

Close Air Support and Civilian Casualties in Afghanistan - Lara M. Dadkhah wrote:The rural and remote nature of the Afghan war also most areas of operations (AO) relatively favorable locations for airstrikes, as the likelihood of collateral damage is minimal. In urban AO, by contrast, requests by ground forces for airstrikes would not be approved unless coalition troops were about to be overrun.
Seeing insurgencies tend to take place in urban areas, I doubt close air support would be fitting in most cases. Project Reality hopes to achieve gameplay that is as authentic as possible. And while in a more cynical mood I might say that bombing civilians would be somewhat authentic, I am not.

From a tactical point of view, if an area is too dangerous for APCs, don't bring them. Every asset is a force multiplier for infantry. From another point of view, if OPFOR is able to hold off BLUFOR from a location, why should BLUFOR receive even better equipment? In insurgency, BLUFOR already has the better equipment. It's simply the case that OPFOR is using it's equipment better.

CAS chopper except the light ones such as Kiowa bring so much trouble in game we don't need more.
