hello,

everytime i open pr i get the black loading screen and then it goes back to desktop.
also giving me the 'closing pr, cleaning resources' message.
i have searched other threads for this problem but cant seem to find it.

i am running windows 8.1 wich could be the problem. other then that i wouldnt know...

thanks in advance to anyone that helps me out.

it could also be bf2 not working right.
i have played around with the compatibility settings and still nothing.
please any fix is apreciated. would be a waiste to have to throw bf2 away

srry for ending my own thread but i think i found the problem.
i cant play bf2 for compatibilty reasons.
but pr runs fine after setting my desktop res is set to the lowest xd you can set it back to normal in the pr launcher itself. so here u go

being playing the game no problem for ever now and today i just tried to log into the game and im getting this exact problem, iv tried the resolution changes but nothing is working and im unable to play

Known problem with vanilla BF 2, I think it has something to do with the refresh rate and the default resolution (800x600?).

so how eactly do i fix this problem

i tried the black screen fix and i tried uninstallnig pr and reinstalling, nothing worked

deleting everything now see you guys in squad

Did you run BF2 before you ran PR? I think it has something to do with a config file that has to be created by running BF 2 a first time before starting PR. You can also try to set your desktop resolution to 800x600 then change it in BF2 to what you want to use.

Hi!

I had this once; what you do is go to your video.con file and change your "60" Hz to "70" Hz. Although you will have to do this for the bf2 folder and the rest of your mod documents folders too!
