I'm getting this error when opening laucher. After pressing OK, launcher closes.
Tried reinstalling.
Same with running as Admin.
If launching the game itself from other exe, it needs launcher.
If opening launcher in compability with Win7, same happens.

After our successful v1.3 standalone release, it's time for a small update to fix some bugs that popped up. Thanks everyone for your bug reports and feedback!

The update is now available, and it will be offered as an automatic update next time you launch Project Reality.

Note: Those who are getting "30: Machine Error" will need to apply the patch manually, as obviously your launcher is not working to get it automatically. Please download the update file and simply double click it to install it manually.

I tried installing 1.3 for several times and everytime same error in the launcher "30:machine error"

After instalation it says "successful" but there is no folder in the direction I've chosen which is D:\games\PR - But what I noticed is that C partition loses arround 7 GB after every try -

EDIT: it went into VTRoot folder on C: - no entry in registry or whatsoever. With IODeinstaller I could find it though

I tryed several things:
-downloaded 2nd iso
-deactivated AV and FW
-installed with and without PnkBuster
-installed PB seperatly
-restarted PC before / after instalation
-started setup as admin

nothing worked so far.

after first try the launcher asked me for the profile - since then everytime i run autorun it says "play", launcher starts, error message.

hope you can help :/


I use win7 64 - for iso I use DEAMON lite

If something is taking up all that space, just windows search for 'PR.exe' and see where all those installations went too.

Same problem, when launching the launcher, it say 30: Machine Error ...

Same problem here... Althought I installed PR in the default C:\Program files\Project Reality folder...

Random question, are you guys running genuine copies of Windows?

found the files in VTRoot folder - deleted all.
found more old Data in EA\bf2 folder - deleted all.

tried install 1.3 again - same problem: 30 machine error

Yes, and i'm trying to make it work on Mac OSX, but the problem is not here (i think)

I got warez-Windows 8.1 and PR works just fine for me, so that should not be the case.

SOLVED!

1. Installed and recieved 30:machine error
2. searched for installed files - which were in C:\VTRoot - this is invisible folder (check this: CLICK)
3. copied the files and paste them in a different direction (in my case D:\Project Reality)
4. went into D:\project Reality\mods\pr\bin - started PRLauncher.exe - NO ERROR!
5. started game, joined server, killed a nub ...

now gonna enjoy sun and see you tonight on our [NEW] server

Hope it works for you all, too.

VTRoot is a folder made by Comodo-Firewall it seems. make sure to disable it during installation and whitelist the PR installation folder after it.

I wouldn't recommend launcher PR from the VTRoot folder.

Arrrh, i can't show this folder on mac ...

PR doesn't work on MAC in the first place....

I don't have a VTRoot folder. Currently my PR files are in C:\Program Files\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2. I have a legit copy of Windows 7.

What is your anti-virus/ Firewall? Have you tried disabling them?

I don't use an antivirus and my Firewall is disabled.

But i can make it work on MAc, and i think it will be a plus for the community

If i install PR on the desktop, they will be no VTroot folder no ? So it will resolve it no ?

And i don't understand the solution, in the main file of the hard drive, there is a VCroot folder, and we have to copy what in VCroot ? There is another PR installation files inside ?
