Hello, I have been play PR since vr 0.93 and always needed to play on American or European severs... In South Africa the price for reasonable internet is amazingly pricy so i dont get the best ping ... After a while I finally got tired of the lag so I would like to know if its possible to get an South African server?

If you host it, you will have server. All PR servers are community hosted, not by DEV's, so its up to you.

Just an update, Mumble is now working on our server 100% (Tested)

Need to advertise this on some of the forums. I kind of did on mybb and mygaming but there are more.

do you still have the PR server that you hosting?

I own a Tier 1 ITSP and ISP company we have local POP's all around the world with a MAX of 70ms from south africa to North america germany asia netherlands you name it. our interconnect peering partners are solid. could i put a Cross connect to your server, But depends where you are hosting it. as im sure if international players to a S.A server will lag..

Or i can offer if you want to put the server in my server cabnit in teraco we have space available in johannesburg & cape town.

Hey Guys, I am back into the PR business, but i see the SA server was taken down. I am getting a few people together now to get this started in SA. Is it possible if the previous host could tell me how to get a server up and running I would appreciate it! thx

Really is hard to imagine you'll get enough to get deployment going without a big push to bring in more local gamers.

I help out on a small local COOP in NZ we have fun and laughs and a low ping, sure its not deployment but we still have a laugh even when there's only 2 or 3....

Might be worth a try - better than nothing.

Yeap I already have a small group going of about 10+,but they all want the low ping and im not sure how to setup a server after I get a lisence
