BF2 servers were shut down. Used to work with PR BF2 servers? So if you are currently required to do to open the PR server? I found a web site in those old articles. However BF2 servers were shut down.

you can't play vanilla (="normal" BF2) servers on Project Reality 1.3 standalone version. You have to play on PR 1.3 servers.

simplified version:
- You do not play BF2 servers on Project Reality 1.3 client
- You play on Project Reality 1.3 servers which can be found from: https://www.realitymod.com/prspy/

or for in-game access, launch PR 1.3 standalone and navigate to "Deploy" and refresh the server list.

I know it's independent of the game. How would I ask the server setups.

If you want to open your own server, you need to contact PR developers or "staff" for server files / license. If that is what you meant.

Not sure if local games work through Hamachi or similar. I haven't tried it.
