Have you tried waiting for it to rearm again after it shows the true value of flares? Just wondering if it's a random glitch that can be fixed in game by waiting longer or it's the good old flare bug again.

Yes, I did. And after a reset all the flares, I recharged again. But the value indicates the number of 42, and drop the flare I could not because there was a sound as if they are not

Its a known issue since 1.0 but no one knows the cause. Its a very rare bug but when it happens its really frustrating especially if you are in a CAS chopper. Devs are still trying to figure out a fix for this, but until then you will have to pray that you dont encounter it too often.

The flarebug comes down to flare counter and flare launcher getting unlinked. Why it is getting unlinked is a mystery. Same things happens from time to time to maglinked MGs or Marskman. Changing the fire mode or giving it magazines wont help.

It only happens if your flare count reaches 0

try to avoid that
