Hey Tool,
Welcome to the forums! And welcome to Project Reality. A moderator will probably move your thread to the appropriate subsection of the forums, but I'll try to help in the meantime.
Most serverproviders that provide out-of-the-box bf2 servers ready to go, won't accept PR's custom server executable. This executable has been modified to accept 100 players instead of 64, among other tweaks and changes made over the years by the PR dev team.
I'd advise you to rent a serverbox instead of going with a managed provider, but this will require a little bit of technical know-how. There's a lot of options for you and your clan when it comes to location (east coast? west coast? central?), OS (windows/linux), CPU (too many options to list) etc. It is important to know that PR servers can only run on one core, so when it comes to CPU choice, make sure that your cores are powerful individually as well. You'd want to avoid a 8-core CPU with low individual core processing power for example.
Once you've set up a working BF2 server, you should be able to apply for a server license and the other server admins will be happy to help you out with setting up your server for optimal PR pleasure.
Hope this helps.
Edit: I missed that you might already have a serverbox. In order to install a BF2 server, and I'm going to assume you're running a windows server, download the BF2 dedicated server executable (
