Game crashes right when launching

When I try to start the game it crashes directly after clicking yes in UAC. This is the logfile created:

DirectX, Visual C++ and .NET Framework have all been installed. PR was installed with the iso mounting feature from 8, but I copied it to the desktop to fix the P Attribute

thank you for posting this, i tried to make a thread with the exactly same error twice now but it either didn't go through or just wasn't approved by a mod...

Are your resolutions set the same like this, check default resolutions in Mydocuments/Projectreality/profiles/ default isbefore profiles and maybe launcher but I'm not sure on that, 0001 will be the first profile. In each there you have video(.con) change to match Nvidia or AMD set resolution and SAVE in wordpad.

I think your PR default/launcher/intro graphics are set wrong.

Easiest first solution:

GO to Mydocuments/ and rename Mydocuments/Projectreality to Mydocuments/ProjectrealityOLD
Start PRBF2.exe in Program Files (x86)\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2
When it says you must use the Luancher to play the game, shutdown PRBF2.exe
Start PRLauncher.exe and click Options, then check your video settings. Click Apply.
then start PR by pressing PLAY in the main PRLauncher menu,

Thanks for the .OLD rename solution. I opened the launcher for the first time. It worked!

It worked for the launcher crash but now I got a new problem. I am posting the new error, check in support when the mod approves it please. Thanks.

That solution didn't work for me. The launcher still cras's with the same error code.
I think there is a problem with creating a default user profile. Every time when I check the profile folders there are no data in it.

So i just downloaded the game but i have the exact same error and i can't get past it.
As soon as i start PRLauncher it crashes with that error.

I tryed what mentioned here:

Also i tryed to set costum Resolutions. All without any success. Still crashes after start.
Any Idea?

Intel I7 4770k
GTX 980
16GB RAM

Quick way to test this is to create a new Windows Administrator account, then try to run C:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\PRbf2.exe once. It will get to a main menu saying "you must use the launcher. But it also will create the new documents\ProjectReality directory and subdirectories for you. close prbf2.exe and then start prlauncher.exe like normal.

the symptoms you describe make me think it could be your antivirus/firewall blocking the C:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\PRbf2.exe and/or C:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\mods\pr\bin\PRlauncher.exe software. Please whitelist them in both antivirus and firewall and test.

Ok the Launcher is working now after I deactivated Windows Firewall but when I start the game pressing on "Play" then this Error appears:

"1103: There was an error linking to the game process. Please try again later5"

add an exclusion for all ProjectReality and sub-folders to the exclusion list of the AV software.

So i did all step by step.

- created a new Administrator Account -> runned PRbf2.exe -> error msg ingame -> runned PRlauncer

- whitelisted PR in my firewall and also deactivated the firewall completly.

No success. Still same error.
