Guides/Tactics Section up and running!

Finally! It has cometh!
The
Guides section of the wiki has been finalised, and is ready and willing for you, the players, to write and add your own guides.
Its very simple, and can be done by following the instructions on the guide page. There are many subcategories so you can search for just that type of Guide, and a guide can be added to as many subcategories as is relevant.
I hope you guys like.

4 Guides are already up, and a few more will appear soon enough (I need a rest first

).

"common sense" THE GOLDEN WORD.
SO how does one train/teach/give/ram down throat the average BF2v player or any PR player to have common sence??
It is a serious issue on PR at the moment......*shackes head in disbelief*
P.S some good guides there, especialy the LB one.

The helicopter guide seems to contradict itself many times. Other than that it's a good guide. I think once the game becomes more balanced in 0.5, a tactics guide will be really useful.
And Spec Ops class is a good class to start off with, not Assault or Support. The guns have zero recoil, you have anti-vehicle capabilities and grenades and parachuts and binoculars and a pistol to fall back on.
And the Spec Ops SLAM (not C4) destroys anything including an MBT in 2 hits. I've been killed in a tank like 20 times due to one Spec Ops guy using both his SLAM. I've also killed loads of tanks like this.
My bad, it's not finished duh. I'll be adding my own stuff soon. Maybe my own guide.

I disagree, getting players to start off with specops is retarded. it promotes lone wolfing and vanilla behaviour
this is a REALITY mod!!! so your suggesting every 'fresh' recruit is a specops??
i would suggest that new players start with either A) rifleman or B) medic since these two classes are the backbone of a good squad.
what your proposing mekstizzle is to play PR like vanilla, and to me that is not what this guide should be about.
this guide SHOULD NOT be about how to get the most kills. It should be about promoting teamwork and a realistic immersive experience and get the new players to act accordingly, and not like freakin idiots.

I agree with what you're saying.
But that's the truth, the Spec Ops class is the Jack of all trades. If you don't want that then get rid of it. All the kits are specialised in their own way except for Spec Ops which gets everything.

Ummm... no it doesn't. I've SLAMed lots of APCs and tanks where they don't die. Maybe you were already damaged.
EDIT: (Regarding two posts up)

Nope i've been 100% most of the time. Are you sure you've used BOTH Slams?
C4 as engineer is a different story. I've put c4 on the back of an M1A2 and it didn't even make tank start to smoke.

Maybe depends on where you stick them. I try for back armour, dunno if it actualy makes a difference though.

I've been editing a few entries to assist with this idea, correct some issues that no longer apply to the new builds, and generally contributing a few things.
How do you post a new entry into a category?
Also, Mekstizzle.. 2 SLAMs will not kill a tankor APC at 100%. 4 SLAMs will kill an APC and 6 SLAMs can destroy a tank... 4 or 5 if placed right. C4 will destroy APC or Tank in one blow.
That's a development fact.

what do you mean?

[R-PUB]Maistros, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Maistros, I don't know what's going on with your account. I have access just fine. Other than that, I do think that link needs to get mined for some stuff to transfer.

Maistros - I remember when I was an RPUB I couldn't access that.
Anyway, apart from 2 of the guides currently up they all come from that tutorial section.

OK, I posted a DMR guide in the infantry section, but I screwed it up. Can somebody fix it and maybe explain again how to add a topic correctly? I tried to follow what the little page said to do, I really did....
