solve it by simply adding an exclusion for all Battlefield 2 and PR folder and sub-folder on your AV Software

I've added exceptions to the Real Time Protection and system scan in Avira and added exceptions in the firewall, I've tried disabling them both, still not working

Removed Avira, installed AVG instead, followed the steps in the antivirus thread. Still nothing

Try this:
'[R-COM wrote:LITOralis.nMd;2041134']You're on the right track, it's a .con file that is probably broken.

You can try this trick:
start prbf2.exe in

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2
It will say "you must use the launcher.
shut it down , then try to use the launcher.

I've never found out why the .con files in Documents\ProjectReality\Profiles are incorrectly created/written to by the PRBF2.exe process.

I don't even get a prompt telling me "you must use the launcher" it just crashes in the same way it regularly does

in the launcher go to options then audio and turn off radiotransmission audio queues, click apply.

test.

I'm having this problem and I've tried the mentioned fixes but haven't gotten any results. I can't even disable the radio transmissions. Once I click apply then close it just changes the settings back to what they were.

Same exact issue. This is 2020, people. Will SOMEONE finally provide a fix?

Turn off every security system, reinstall PR, try again.
