Please speed up the refuelling twice speed. Currently it's unrealistic as it takes 10 minutes or even 20 or so to refuel.

Even UAV's as small as this one can fly 90 minutes with one battery pack... and landing and takeoff would take longer than the "switching the battery-pack"-process...

It's already hard enough that the UAV camera can only observer one place at a time...

Thats the whole point. UAV was nerfed because it ruined the game in 1.2.

I am doing Commander very often and i think the UAV is good like it is at the moment. The Refueling process is fast enough.

btw.
When your UAV is landed,but you need the drone. you can always send him out again, even with half empty fuel tank.

There's the time to RTB and then Return to Battle too....

The UAV also doesn't notify when it is actually over the designated area.

Honestly people keep complaining the the UAV is OP, but 99% of the time their isn't even a commander to use it.

My question: Why were the viewing angles of the optics nerfed so much?

Pretty sure there is only a 30 degree elevation from straight down. It's pretty difficult to get a UAV point of view when you can only angle up 30 degrees.

Yes Gammla, if terrain doesn't provide long-range, than 500m as well...

guess all those desert maps provide open terrain, the view distance is limited though as you might have noticed

What's your point with 500m tank battles anyway? What's the problem, you quoted a post from me writing about UAV 90 minutes... And you reply about 500m tank battles?!

- 90min uav uptime in reality, 30min rounds in the game
- 80+km viewdistance in reality, 0.5km to 1.2km in the game

I played commander for the first time in 1.3 yesterday and personally I think the refueling time is perfectly fine. It doesn't take that long, and even if you have to send out the UAV with a half tank of fuel it will stay up in the air for long enough.

Also, you have to assume that we're talking about UAVs like the MQ-1 Predator, not a small UAV that runs on batteries. These things are big and run on fuel, and just like any other aircraft it probably takes a while to refuel.

But in PR currently the "MQ-1" runs out of fuel in 5 minutes... from what I experienced on Vadso.

I'm personally not in favor in any kind of fuel system, but get rid of the "moving costs 2x more fuel and the the amount of time get to an area", makes tracking the fuel too confusing for a game.

Make it like < PR1.0.... UAV is up for 10 minutes, down for 5.
