Really blocky shadows

This was apparent in 1.2 as well, and not sure if specifically related to the engine or what, but the real time shadows are pretty blocky for me. I've attached some screenshots for people to see what I mean:

Battlefield 2 Shadows Photos by baddude1337 | Photobucket

Specs:

Nvidia GTX 765m
Intel Core I7-4700MQ @ 2.4 GHZ
8GB RAM

Nvidia Driver versions 332.31

I've got everything on high, I play in 1080p and have messed around in control panel a but, but nothing really changes the blocky shadows.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ah, so the shadows are that blocky in it anyway? I guessed it might just be that BF2 is old, haven't played BF2 vanilla in a looooooong time.

The vehicle and wall shadows look fine Image Image

But the soldier shadows look really bad Image

Havr you tried going to the launcher - Support - Utilities , and resetting shader cache?

I just did the shader reset thing, and, well, it kinda worked? Some soldiers seem to have normal shadows like your picture above, others are really, really blocky. Might it have something to do with having more soldiers around you?

If it is in a slope, the shadows get slightly blocky at least in my experience.

Not sure about the soldier count tho..
