Hi.
I try to login for days with my account in the launcher but i just keep having the same error "1301: Unable to contact verification server. Please check your internet connection and try again".
My internet works just fine and if i press SKIP it says "If you choose to skip file verification you will not be able to play on public servers. Do you want to skip file verification?"
I don't want to skip because i want to play on public servers please i need help fast!

Thanks for your time.

I had the original (1.2) version running and just installed 1.3 side by side. It ran one time, and the next day I tried to run it I got this same error. I uninstalled everything, and then installed 1.3 fresh and haven't had the problem again.

Do you have another version of PR or BF2 on the computer?

Got this same 1301 error today. Things I've tried to resolve it:

-delete/reset profile
-disabled firewall/antivirus (never caused problems in the past though)
-changed DNS (IPv6 and IPv4)
-uninstall and reinstall PR

Upon reinstallation, when I check update for the v1.3.1 patch, it tells me PR is up to date...but it's not, cause it says I'm running v1.3.0

Quick update:

Didn't realize there was a manual installation of the patch. Tried it, when it got to the file verification at the very end, I got an error 75 saying it could not connect to the verification server. Uninstalled PR again, uninstalled my antivirus, reinstalled PR, tried installing the patch manually, got the same error...this is ridiculous.

some ideas to try:

it sounds stupid, but run PR directly from modfiles, not from desktop shortcut
completely disable AV/firewall for now
update/repair .NET Framework
change DNS to google
disable IPv6

edit:

does this link work? are you prompted to download something?

I'm having the same issues, in fact, just downloading this game to not get a corrupt copy via torrent or any method at least for 32 bit is pathetic.
I realize it's free and thank you for your hard work guys...but whatever the reason is for so much corruption needs to be addressed.
I have attempted updating for online play, and now finally after getting it finally working with no crashes or "verification errors" I am getting a <78 update failed project reality error regarding the beirut server.zip file for validating file integrity>
I don't typically post to forums, but this is insane, now it's in an endless loop and cannot escape.
And the solution to re-install is not a good one (akin to telling someone to wipe their hard drive if they have malware) I've done that a few times to get up and running finally, and have NO issues with any other programs including vanilla bf2.
I wish you guys had the big download iso still yes, but for any patch, a repository that people could download select files that were updated from in case of an issue over the internet.
It works much better than wiping the whole game when you can surgically replace one faulty file.
I'll try what's above, but being in an endless loop when I JUST got this working is not fun...and that solution is not appropriate for any updates that don't allow for any redundancy or forgiveness when it comes to data corruption.

this is how you fix this issue:

1 - Open "Windows Firewall and Advanced Security" or just click the Windows start logo and type "wf.msc" and hit ENTER

2 - Click on "Inbound Rules"

3 - Click on "New Rule"

4 - Select "Program"

5 - Click "Next" then "Browse"

6 - Search for the file "PRBF2.exe" in you PR folder and choose it

7 - Click "Next" and select "Allow this connection"

8 - Click "Next" and choose the three options: "Domain, Private, Public"

9 - Click "Next" and choose any name, I'd give the same name as the file: "PRBF2", but anything goes

10 - Click "Finish"

after that, you should repeat the same procedure for two more files: "PRLauncher" and "PRUpdater"

finally, repeat the procedure for all three files, but this time choosing "Outbound Rules"

it's really fast to solve this problem and it works!

Not sure if it matters, but me and a few friends have all downloaded the official torrent file, and it does not match the official hash number ? are you sure the torrent iso has no errors in it, otherwise everyone will be downloading a corrupt iso ?
