Removing kill/death ratio on scoreboard

In Red Orchestra there isn't a kill/death ratio in the scoreboard, which I really like, because then I don't focuss on the amount of kills I make, but then I think there is a much relaxter gaming atmosphere. And this will reduce people only focussing on getting lot of kills. But I know some people like the competitivnes of this game. So my suggestion is, could you make it a server side setting? Or another idea is to remove the scoreboards during the round and only show them at the end. Your ideas on this?

Remove scoreboards completely while playing the game and only show scores at the end.
It will definitely improve teamplay.

You can make it as real as you want, but leave a little something that is fun to look at during the game please.

I would like to see the removal of the IG scoreboard.
1. Knowing the k/d during the round means ppl will try and keep track of it. They will be worried about how they are getting worked over and then start playing more defensivly to increase thier ratio.
2. I use the IG scoreboard as a "cheat" so I know how many defenders are alive and when I can tell my squad members to move in. This is something IG and I use it to my advantage. If this was removed it would make moving into a flag cap zone that much more nerve racking.
3. As far as scores go, does it really matter? The objective is to win the map, by getting all the cap points, or by tickets. I usually don't play on any ABR ranked servers, so having a score isn't that important.

Yes those are good arguments for the removal of the scoreboard. I know some people think removing the scoreboard is one step too far, or is at the cost of the funfactor, but that's why I think it would be good if it was a serverside setting.

The scoreboard will be removed in 0.5.
Scores will only be shown at the end of the round.

I wouldn't mind seeing the scoreboard go. Dunno if they are doing it or not, but it doesn't matter much either way.
I even have one of my side-mouse buttons bound to the scoreboard. I use it for so many things:
- Confirming a kill
- Knowing when to cap a point by how many people on the other team are dead
- Making sure that the only squad on my opponent's side that was sticking together and working as a team really was fuzzhead and the gang and he really ate it from my arty blast

I do these things with the scoreboard because I can. I don't really look at my score ever actually :/ I know it's kind of lame, but as long as it's there i'll take advantage of it. But, again, I wouldn't mind to see it go.

I use it to confirm kills. This is unrealistic, and I'm ashamed.
Remove the thing

I dont use the score board anymore, i replaced TAB with - 3map, and put scoreboard on Z.... hehe
I think the ingame text should be put into the scoreboard, so the hud looks clean, when you want to read something/check something then you can press TAB and check the messages (If this is possible!). I think this might encourge people to use VoIP more/get a mic!.
My 2 pence.

Awful idea IMO.
Who is going to read that while playing?
In game text is needed for a lot of reasons so shouldn't be hidden away on a page you would only access when dead.

Very much looking forward to the removal of the in game scoreboard.
It was always a way around the notifications of who has killed who.
I find myself checking it after every grenade toss to see if I got the kill.
cheap, cheap and very vanilla.
It is a logical next step for PR
