"Your connection to the sever has been lost"

Same issue as this thread. The way he describes it is absolutely accurate; sporadic, and it comes and goes. Sometimes I get to play for a couple of hours before I drop, sometimes I can't even pick a squad.

I've looked the issue up, and here's what I've tried from other threads, as well as some basic information:
-I've updated PunkBuster to the latest version
-I've done all the menu options except the first
-I've done the weird "netsh tlc" from an age and a half ago
-I've reinstalled the game
-I've made sure my firewall/antivirus were off and tried
-I've made sure all my drivers and netframe nonsense are up to date

-My ISP is Comcast
-I do have a 2-in-1
-I also have BF2 package off Origin and recall it and older PR versions doing something similar back when I had Verizon and separate modem and router. This is still the same installation from all those years ago. I simply stopped playing BF2 and PR because of it.
-I am plugged directly in to my router/modem combo thing

Been having the same issue for the past couple of weeks, usually cannot maintain a connection for more than 15-20 minutes before the screen freezes briefly for 2-3 seconds (can still hear mumble during the freeze) and I'm booted back to the server list with the dreaded "Your connection to the server has been lost." message.

Out of curiosity, do you experience a bit of rubberbanding a few minutes before the disconnect? I'll notice my scope being in a completely random direction shortly before disconnecting. And is your modem/router an Arris by any chance? If so which model?

I've tried everything you've gone through and much much more (trying fixes nearly a decade old) and ultimately I've come to the unfortunate conclusion that the fault is either at the ISP level or the 2 in 1 modem itself (even though Martychus doesn't have a 2 in 1 nor the same ISP as either of us.)

Tethering to my phone's 4G connection worked flawlessly and was able to play without disconnects for upwards of 2 hours.

It's a bit baffling as to why it only affects PR, no other program's connection drops when the disconnects happen. I'll try and pick up a 3rd party modem without a built in router and see if that changes anything and if not, then I suppose my nearly 8 year PR career will come to an end.

And judging from the views of this thread and the other in such a short amount of time, I'm willing to bet that we aren't the only three having this issue. Make a forum account and speak up so we can hopefully get to the bottom of this if any lurkers are also affected.

I have the same problem since yesterday. Even re-install the game did not help.

Still having the issue. Tried uninstalling BF2, all of PunkBuster, and PR and then reinstalling clean. Played for about 2-3 hours, then dropped.

To answer your question Sor, no. It's just the generic modem/router combo that Comcast gave me. I didn't see any brand markings except theirs.

I've read more than once about comcast giving problems. where I live all the ISP's except one do what yours' is doing in the peak evening period.
You can play fine until about 1900 then lag, connection problems and disconnect.

i would look at that first, especially the guy using 4G works fine....

It happens sporadically at all times, ranging from mid-morning to 2AM, even. Not just peek hours.

Well that could be a network usage issue at those times, have you ever tried to play very early in the morning to test?

Do you play any other online games?

I've played it at every time slot imaginable. Peak hours, middle of the night, early morning, mid-morning, afternoon, etc. No other games I play have any issues, whatsoever. PR is the only one with issues.

Same problem happening to me. I really want to continue playing PR but right now it is impossible. When i first started i could play endlessly with no difficulty then all of a sudden it just came on and i cant stay connected past 15 minutes it seems.

I tried:
Connect and play without the router.
Create a new profile.
Remove the game and clean CCleaner and then reinstalled.
Play without firewall and anti-virus.
Change the priority of the game in the task manager on a high.
It did not help.
What you installed before it happened? I installed Overwolf to Teamspeak and Empire Total War. Maybe someone installed it too?
Have you tried a system restore? Can it help?

Overwolf 64 bit used to crash PR. Try using the 32 bit version, and only open the 32 bit version AFTER you join a server.

I'm not using any form of Overwolf. Any advice for what I can do? I'm still having the problem.

I tried to play through another Internet (phone) and it works great. This is a problem with the internet by my provider. Try to do the same. All the time please my operator to repair, but they do not know how to fix it. Do you have any ideas?

I posted in the other thread that I've also tried everything and this happens to me too. I recently downloaded Simple Static IP v.1.3.0 from pcwintech.com, installed that then clicked "randomize new IP" button then "enable static IP" button. Since I did that I've been able to play a few games without being disconnected. Try giving this a shot, I haven't had the time to test it out for really long periods of time so I might be just getting lucky but give that a try and play some servers then post back with your results.

I'm on Time Warner cable with an Arris modem but going to be contacting TWC to get a different modem and hopefully if this program doesn't end up working for me a new modem will fix it

Nevermind guys that seems to make it happen less for some reason but I still got disconnected last round I played. We're all doomed there's no fix.

I am also experiencing this problem, random crashes to game lobby with "Your connection to server has been lost."

I've tried almost everything I can think of to resolves this:

1. Reinstalled Project Reality
2. Reset Router
3. Reimaged computer
4. Replaced Ethernet cable
5. Upgraded Internet + New Arris Router (30mb download / 7 mb upload speed) Time Warner Cable
6. Disabled WiFi
7. Disabled Antivirus / Firewall

Still crashing, sometimes I can play for 2 games, sometimes I can play for 10 minutes.

If I make any progress I will update here.
