Comms Lag

Just played project reality for the 1st time really enjoyed it.
However the entire time I was playing all my comms were really quiet an or broken.
It was if someone was just spamming their push to talk key instead of holding it, it was the same on all the servers I played and different people.
My connection is fine 70 ping which is decent for a american server when i'm in the UK. But it was making it very difficult to understand orders and communicate with medics and people who need ammo etc.
Is this a Mumble problem, if so how would I fix it?
