Using the carrier from Iron Gator?

No PR map has yet used the aircraft carrier from Iron Gator. It has plenty of interior sections in contrast to the carrier we see on maps like Muttrah city. Would I be allowed to use this asset or is this forbidden? This would not be used as a spawn point but as a flag

I've seen an unofficial map use it as a carrier wreck, coupled with (unrealistic) F\A-18 statics.

Its not "off-limits" to use but there is very little point in using it, at least for a normal flag, since its just a much higher poly and requires far larger lightmaps to cover all of its interior, which simply isn't worth it...
As for using it "as a flag", I can't see any realistic scenario where a modern conventional or insurgent/guerrilla ground force would "board" and fight on a carrier / assault ship, or any kinda warship for that matter... As such, it would be very unlikely to become an official PR Map.

ah ye, good old EA/DICE research for you, "its a carrier right? should put CATOBAR planes on it"

Ok, thanks for that Rhino. I'll guess I'll give it a miss for now!

Maybe a 'disabled' or beached carrier would make for an interesting flag

Actually that "Adak" map that rusty_42 made had a carrier sinking in port, maybe he might want to use it?
You can just see it in the far right of this picture.

I think its about time this was given another thought.
After returning to PR after a couple of years out, I'm back up to speed with all the playable maps.
I think a little more diversity is required, something that challenges the usual map dynamic and offers a set piece item like the carrier interior as a place to fight over.
Could be as simple as adding to an existing map like Pavlosk Bay docked at the port as a flag or two, or on a smaller infantry type map like the original Iron Gator it was found on from Special Forces.

Very good idea, would be cool to have CQB inside a carrier, which could be docked like Rico said!
